Ken'ichiro Shinzawa

Pianist・Keyboardist・Composer・Arranger

Born April 3rd, 1968 in Tokyo, Shinzawa has played the piano from the age of six. Upon Graduating from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Graduate School of Environment and Society (MA in Architecture), he became a musician who plays a wide range of genres including jazz, fusion, Brazilian, and pop music. He appeared in “Crossover Japan 2004” along with the band PRISM. Shinzawa is known for his performances on works such as the segment “Today’s by-a-whisker” on NHK program “PythagoraSwitch”, NHK program “The Bookshelf Diner”, the Nana Mizuki Orcherstra Concert, Chris Hart × SMAP, the film “My father, the Bride”(music composed by Toshiyuki Honda), the NHK Tokyo Children’s Theatre Ensemble, the International Library of Children’s Literature’s “Picture Book Gallery”. He has performed with figures such as Takeo MORIYAMA, Yoshiaki MASUO, Kazumi WATANABE, Toshiyuki HONDA, Tetsuo SAKURAI, Carmen Maki, Sachi HAYASAKA、Hideyuki YONEKAWA、Masato HONDA、Tsuneo IMAHORI、Kana HIRAMATSU、Hidenobu"KALTA"OTSUKI、Gene Jackson、Eero Koivistoinen、Jukka Eskola、Timo Lassy. He has released 9 CDs as leading player. He leads groups such as the piano trio “Perspective”, “The Gingko Quintet”, and “NERVIO”. He is also part-time lecturer at Showa University of Music.
